Device Description

The Dell Venue 11 Pro is a family of 2-in-1 convertible tablets that support a physical keyboard dock.

Dell offers two radically different variants of the Venue 11 Pro. One family includes an Intel Atom (formerly "Bay Trail") processor, and the other features an Intel Core processor.

Typically the devices feature a sticker that states if it has either an Intel Atom or Intel Core processor. if this sticker has been removed, you can identify the device by its model number. Model 5xxx Dell Venue 11 Pro tablets feature an Atom processor, whereas model 7xxx tablets feature an Intel Core processor.

This page is about the Atom-based Dell Venue Pro 11. For the Core version, please visit the Dell Venue 11 Pro (Core) page.

Dell plans to offer Atom-based Dell Venue 11 Pro units with both 32-bit and 64-bit firmware. The vast majority of Dell Venue 11 Pro models sold today feature 32-bit firmware.

Support Status

  • Venue 11 Pro (Atom) - Red (Console OS does not run on this device currently)

Our goal is to support all variants of the Dell Venue 11 Pro with Atom processors.

The Dell Venue 11 Pro is not supported by Developer Release 1. We are working hard to add support for Developer Release 2, as we transition to Android 5.0, Lollipop.

The main blocking issue stems from most Venue 11 Pro units not offering 64-bit firmware, despite having a 64-bit processor. We are working with relevant industry partners to add support for 32-bit firmware devices, like this one, to Console OS.
