Console Developer Rewards
We are currently retooling Console Developer Rewards (CDR) to focus and dedicate our efforts on the new OpenHU project, created due to, and dedicated for the late Mike Reid, who pioneered and spearheaded the original app.
Our first Console Developer Rewards bounty campaign will run from June 24 to August 31. It has specific requirements and you need to follow them to participate.
We are offering $10,000 in cash, to the people that resolve the problems in Fixing OpenHU. A successful completion of this challenge will result in OpenHU once again working with Android devices, running the latest version of Google Play Services.
How it Works
How it works is pretty simple:
- People who have code contributions will sign up for Console Developer Rewards
- You'll then submit code to GitHub as a standard pull request - with your registration ID in the comments of the pull request.
- We'll incorporate your code into OpenHU.
- If we can get OpenHU working again, we'll award points for each commit, and divide up the rewards between the contributors at the end of August.
If you have code that will help in Fixing OpenHU, you need to quickly register on the Console Forums, so we can keep track of your submissions.
When you have code ready to submit, simply post in OpenHU Discussion Forum with a new thread noting you are submitting code to GitHub.
Finally, in the comments, post your user name (the one you selected when registering for the forums) in your pull request comment. That's it!
Additional Legal Requirements & Statements
This is not a contest. Participants must be 18 years or older (sorry, the lawyers said so). Residents and/or citizens of the United States will be required to submit an IRS Form 1099 for any rewards valued above $600.
Cash payments will be issued over our next two fiscal quarters. We expect all cash payments to be completed by the end of January, 2017. Similarly, we reserve the right to substitute devices, or provide refurbished devices if necessary for fulfillment.
All terms in Fixing OpenHU document are also inclusive in the terms of this agreement. You agree that the jurisdiction for this offer is Santa Clara County, in the State of California. All disputes or arbitrations will be resolved in this venue, exclusively, unless otherwise required by law. In the event any term of this offer is in violation of your jurisdiction's laws, the remaining terms are in full effect.
We reserve the right to change, amend, or end this program at any time. Mobile Media Ventures, Inc. d/b/a Console, Inc. is the sole arbiter of any rewards or incentives from this offering. Any contests or challenges to the decisions of Console, Inc. will be resolved through binding arbitration, subject to the standard arbitration terms of the American Arbitration Association.
